NFDHR continues to implement the construction works for the water projects in Sahar district

NFDHR Programmes manager, Mr. Khaled Al Othmani, states that the 5 water projects are under construction as part of NFDHR emergency WASH and C4D project funded by UNICEF.

He also added that the construction works are targeting AlElaby water project, AlAmeri water project, AlHadab Aal Hussien Alabedi water project and AlHarebah water project. The construction works also included the second phase of Dho Huninah (Afrah) water project. The construction works are believed to benefit 22,474 individuals of the conflict affected communities.

As for the components of the projects, AlElaby water projects includes constructing a ground water tank with capacity of 100 cubic meter, supplying and installing a 5800 meter of pumping pipelines, and constructing a pumping room equipped with a solar power pumping unit to operate the project. The activity also includes nominating community water committees and training its members to ensure sustainable management of the project.

As for AlAmeri water project, the works include rehabilitating the 200 cubic meter ground water tank with, supplying and installing 9500 meter of pumping pipelines ,and constructing pumping room equipped with a solar power pumping unit to operate the project. The activity also includes nominating community water committees and training its members to ensure sustainable management of the project.

Moreover, AlHadab water project construction works consists of constructing a 200 cubic meter water tank in addition to supplying and installing 22000 of pumping pipelines. The works include constructing a pumping room equipped with a solar power pumping unit as well as nominating community water committees and training its members to ensure sustainable management of the project.

Furthermore, AlHarebah water project construction works include constructing a 200 cutie meter reinforced tank, and supplying and installing 24300 pumping pipeline. The works include constructing a pumping room equipped with a solar power pumping unit as well as nominating community water committees and training its members to ensure sustainable management of the project.

Finally, as for Dho Huninah water project, the construction works include constructing an additional reinforced water tank with capacity of 100 cubic meter, in addition to supplying and installing a water network consisting of 13400 of pipelines
